we’re excited to welcome Caitlin Bartlemay of Clear Creek Distilling for a special virtual tasting with the Kansas City Whiskey Guild.
Founded in 1985 in Hood River, Oregon, Clear Creek Distillery has long been a quiet pillar of American craft distilling. Known widely for their world-class fruit brandies, Clear Creek has also helped shape the modern American single malt conversation through their McCarthy’s American Single Malt Whiskey—one of the earliest and most respected expressions of the category in the United States. Their work is thoughtful, traditional, and deeply rooted in the agricultural richness of the Pacific Northwest.
During this guided virtual session, Caitlin will walk us through several of Clear Creek’s standout spirits and share the story behind the distillery, their production philosophy, and the legacy of McCarthy’s in American whiskey.
On the tasting lineup:
McCarthy’s American Single Malt – 3 Year
McCarthy’s American Single Malt – 6 Year
Trail’s End Bourbon – 8 Year
Clear Creek Pear Brandy
This event will be limited to 40 participants, allowing for a more intimate conversation and the opportunity for questions throughout the tasting.
